Selena Gomez seems to be just as non-judgemental of Justin Bieber’s actions as his fans are. She and her ex-boyfriend just have a history she can’t ignore, she explained to the American morning talk show, Good Morning America.

When she was asked about her split with the Biebs and how they were able to stay friends, she said, “that’s because he and I have such a history together. I’ll always care about him and protect him if anyone tries to be mean.”

She was also asked about how she manages to balance her acting and her music career.

“I don’t feel like I’m settled yet,” she explained. “I’m just kind of focusing on my work. I feel like the moment I’m not working, I get bored and then I go crazy. I’m gonna keep going, I think.”

Still, she’s not a complete workaholic: she claims to like dancing, sleeping and being “at home watching movies” as well, which are three things that can definitely keep a person sane enough to keep up with her busy schedule!

Gomez recently released her latest album titled Stars Dance and will go on a world tour this August.
