Selena Gomez Is Still Justin Bieber’s Muse

Justin Bieber wants the world to know just how much Selena Gomez means to his musical process. But is Jelena really “off again” for good?

Justin Bieber stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest yesterday to talk about performing at music festival Ultra, the new love of his life (aka his adorable puppy Esther), and just how Selena Gomez inspired many songs that he’s been working on.

While Justin’s said that he’s very much single, Gomez has been reportedly linked to dating music producer and DJ, Zedd. Gomez and Zedd recently collaborated on an electronica track called “I Want You To Know”, which is currently sitting at #26 on Billboard’s Top 100.

Bieber and Gomez have had a very tumultuous on again/off again relationship for years that has inspired some heartbreaking performances from both of them. Back in 2013, Justin sang “Nothing Like Us” on Saturday Night Live, a song rumored to be about Gomez after they had another falling out.

Last year at the American Music Awards, Gomez gave her most emotional performance of her song “The Heart Wants What It Wants” yet. The video starts with an audio recording of her talking about Justin, about how she “knows his heart, how she thought he wouldn’t do anything to hurt her.” It led to speculation that her and Bieber were finally done for good.

While both seem to be moving on with their lives and doing well, it’s no secret that their relationship has helped them grow as individuals. I’m sure fans are all looking forward to getting a glimpse into Justin’s new music, and want to understand what he’s been going through.

So is Jelena over for good?

In the words of the Biebs himself, I would “never say never!”
