Much like Funimation’s Anime Classics line, Sentai Filmworks has decided to launch a similar line titled “Sentai Selects,” which will re-release their past products for a more affordable price along with reversible DVD/Blu-ray covers.
The first anime to be released in the Sentai Selects product line will be the Appleseed anime feature-film. Appleseed’s first release, as part of Sentai Selects, will be in blu-ray.
Funimation has seen a great amount of success with the emergence of their classics line, so it’s not too far-fetched to assume Sentai will be treated the same as well.
The question is, what titles would you like to see be re-released under Sentai Selects? For me, No.6 immediately comes to mind along with Another, Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East, Un-Go and Hozuki’s Coolheadedness.
