Shane West bought the ’67 Camaro to remember his role in the famous tear-jerker, A Walk to Remember. The film starred West as a bad boy-turned-good because of his love for a dying Mandy Moore.
He revealed he bought the car on the first day on set: “The first scene that we shot on that film was pretty much the opening sequence of the film. Of daring that kid to jump in the lake, everyone driving up their cars together, and that whole party scene…and they pulled out that ’67 Camaro for me. I turned immediately to the first AD, and I was like, ’How much is it?’ and ’I want it.”
He’s had it since they filmed the movie, paying it off with some of his paycheck from the film.
The only thing he wasn’t a fan of was the color, and he’s currently working on changing that so he can hit the road.
