Shawn Mendes is a 16-year-old singer who rose to fame thanks to his Vine covers and his debut single, “Life Of The Party.” After releasing his debut EP as an introduction, he’s now preparing to drop his actual studio album and a new single has arrived, titled “Something Big.”
The track is an upbeat, guitar-pop kind of tune. It’s the sing-along type of song with a country-esque, drunk-folk-inspired production and a driving beat on top of it. In addition to that, the chorus hook makes it extra addictive. “Something Big” will serve as the second offering to be lifted from Shawn Mendes’ upcoming, debut studio album. However, the record is expected to arrive sometime next year, with no official release date scheduled.
After receiving great success with “Life Of The Party” this past summer, the young artist is back for more. Since social media brought him to the spotlight, he has toured with Fifth Harmony, Austin Mahone and The Vamps and is set to open for Taylor Swift during the US leg of her 1989 tour.
