The often teased “relationship” between Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Watson could have come to a head in season 3 of the hit BBC series, Sherlock, but creator Steven Moffat has revealed they had it scrapped.
During a recent press event, Moffat, alongside the stars of the BBC show, explained that they had shot a scene with Sherlock and Watson inside a gay club, but ultimately decided against using it.
The show has gone as far as to make the suggested relationship between the two a running gag, with even the boys’ landlady, Mrs. Hudson, thinking they’re “more than roommates”.
Freeman revealed during the event: “There was the gay club scene. Why didn’t that get in? We got mullered in a gay club and all these topless guys were going by.”
Demanding fans want to know if our two favorite detectives will ever get together romantically. But the real question is: do YOU?
