In the age of social media, people continue to impress with their astonishing lack of judgment.
Case in point: Danielle Saxton of Illinois.
The 27-year-old woman posted selfies to her Facebook page, in which she was wearing a dress allegedly stolen from Morties Boutique. One of the store’s co-owners, Gay Morton, was alerted to the photo on July 11 and called West Frankfort police to report the theft.
Saxton was arrested that same day and charged with theft under $500. According to John Hampton of the police department, Saxton is no stranger to legal trouble. The police added failure to appear in court to her charges, because she already had an unrelated warrant out for her arrest.
Morton and her son installed security cameras a couple of months ago when she first began suspecting that items were being stolen from their boutique.
