If you’re like me, Revenge fans, you’re still reeling from season two’s heart-pounding, cliff-hanging, mind-blowing finale.
While season two saw a loss of viewership due to some convoluted story lines and Emily’s lack of focus, I remain hopeful that the showrunners will be able to salvage this show. Perhaps the first step in that is bringing in some new blood.
Smallville actor, Justin Hartley, has been cast to play one of the show’s most mysterious characters: Victoria’s (played by Madeleine Stowe) estranged son, Patrick.
The finale left us with just a view of Patrick’s backside as he showed up unannounced on Victoria’s posh Hampton’s doorstep.
Hartley is well known for his portrayal of the Green Arrow/Oliver Queen on the long-running Smallville, and also starred on the short-lived Emily Owens MD, which the CW cancelled in its first season last November.
He has also had cameos in popular shows Castle, Chuck, and Hart of Dixie.
Revenge is set to return to its home at ABC, and the UK’s E4, in the fall.
