Fans of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. were promised quite a bit in ABC’s last big promo for the return of the series. This was including, but not limited to, definitive answers to the Coulson Tahiti Death-Vacation Mystery. Even though the first episode back is titled “The Magical Place”, because that is how Coulson refers to Tahiti, we get none of that in this new clip from Yahoo. What we do get, however, is a peek at the start-up of the hunt for him as Victoria Hand has returned, stepping in to run things, and she’s no fan of Skye it seems.
Agent May’s reaction here is what I’m focused on. While it’s likely tied more directly to a specific plot point, initially it just seemed like an agent’s honest assessment. I also like the idea of her being that blunt and uncompromising without a story prompt.

Will we get all the answers in this episode? Will fans get enough to be satisfied? We will find out when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns January 7th on ABC, at 8:00 pm!
