Snow White Who? Here’s The First Trailer For ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’

2012’s ‘Snow White And The Huntsman’ sequel is called ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’, drops Snow White, adds new characters and now has a trailer to go by.

We’re sure you remember 2012′s Snow White And The Huntsman, but the truth is Snow White is so 2000 and late. Therefore, the franchise is moving forward without her, by adding new characters to the all-new sequel The Huntsman: Winter’s War, which now has a trailer to go by.

The Huntsman will be returning to face the fallen Queen Ravenna once again, only both have important new allies this time around. The Ice Queen will bring back her late sister using the magic mirror and Snow White’s saviour will try to stop them alongside the Warrior. Even though the trailer doesn’t reveal much, the official synopsis reads:

Long before the evil Queen Ravenna was thought vanquished by Snow White’s blade, she watched silently as her sister, Freya, suffered a heartbreaking betrayal and fled their kingdom. With Freya’s ability to freeze any enemy, the young ice queen has spent decades in a remote wintry palace raising a legion of deadly huntsmen—including Eric and warrior Sara – only to find that her prized two defied her one demand: Forever harden your hearts to love.

When Freya learns of her sister’s demise, she summons her remaining soldiers to bring the Magic Mirror home to the only sorceress left who can harness its power. But once she discovers Ravenna can be resurrected from its golden depths, the wicked sisters threaten this enchanted land with twice the darkest force it’s ever seen. Now, their amassing army shall prove undefeatable…unless the banished huntsmen who broke their queen’s cardinal rule can fight their way back to one another.

Both Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth will be reprising their respective roles in Cedric Nicolas-Troyan’s The Huntsman: Winter’s War, while Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain will be joining them as Ravenna’s sister Freya and Warrior/Sara respectively.

The Huntsman: Winter’s War will hit theaters on April 22, 2016. Take a look at the trailer below.
