Last week we sadly said goodbye to Nico and Mackenzie, and this week it was Fik-Shun and Hayley who joined Jenna and Tucker in the bottom four. Would Jenna and Tucker be able to sneak past the judges one more time?

After the killer Mia Michaels routine, it was up to the All-Stars and our Top 8 to keep the fire alive.

Mark Kanemura, who is a principal dancer for Lady Gaga, was teamed up with Jenna and gave us a number that was nothing but normal. The unique number got high praise from the judges, “At a time when choreography is all starting to blend and look the same, it was fantastic to do a style that’s never been done before,” Nigel applauded.

Next up was Aaron who was teamed with All-Star and Dancing with the Stars alum, Chelsie Hightower. The due jived to “Great Balls of Fire” and other than some hunched shoulders from Aaron, which Mary hates, the wildcard tapper was definitely on fire. Nigel praised the dancer, “I honestly think you can sit back knowing you’ve done your best tonight…I truly believe you’ve done enough to become a finalist this year.”

A contemporary routine awaited Fik-Shun and All-Star Allison Holker. “Fik-Shun, you can do no wrong. You’re already an allstar. You are just pure life-force,” said guest judge Jenna Elfman. Mary also had kind words for the dancers, “It just makes my heart sing. I just want to scream and shout about the two of you.” Though Fik-Shun found himself in the bottom this week, this performance could have been his life saver.

Tucker and his partner Courtney Galiano took on a jazz routine that was set to “Clarity” by Zedd. “You are so special and you move me every time I see you, so thank you,” Jenna (Elfman) said. Nigel said he was proud of the dancer and praised Courtney for her “bravery” and “indomitable spirit.” The All-Star announced that was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis back in 2011, causing her to go blind in her left eye earlier this year.

Paul was one of the lucky one when he got paired with All-Star Comfort, for an almost badass hip-hop routine. The choreography was on the money, but Paul’s ballroom techniques clearly held him back from getting the necessary swagger to even come close to matching Comfort’s seasoned style. He still gave it his all and Mary definitely seemed pleased, “Great job! You are one of the most versatile dancers on this show. This style could not be any further from your own. I think you’re fabulous!”

Hayley also landed a pretty fantastic, and gorgeous, partner for a sexy rumba routine. All-Star Dimitri put together a routine that showed off Hayley’s sexiness and style. “I don’t think you’ve ever put a foot wrong in this competition,” said Nigel and Mary felt that it was “phenomenal.” Hopefully, it would prove to be enough to keep Hayley around at least one more week!

Probably one of the show’s most endearing and famous All-Star’s is Twitch and when you pair him Jasmine Harper, you have to know something good is gonna happen. “You could have been so intimidated dancing with one of the biggest stars this show has seen, but you absolutely weren’t. You were firing on all cylinders. You are a superhero,” said Mary.

Already a fan favorite Amy was paired up with another one of the show’s most famous and successful alumni, Travis Wall. Cat Deeley said the contemporary routine was one that would be remembered and Jenna told her she was “an angel.” “I think we’ve seen something very, very special; I really do,” Nigel believed.

After everything was said and done, nothing could be done to save Jenna and Tucker and the former dance couples were sent home.

Next week the judges will have no say in who goes home so based on this week’s performances who do YOU think will be going home?
