Director and So You Think You Can Dance judge Adam Shankman has entered rehab. Shankman is known for his directing work on Step Up, Hairspray, Rock of Ages, Glee, and Modern Family.

US Weekly spoke to his rep who confirmed the news:

“Adam Shankman is currently seeking treatment in a rehabilitation center,” his rep said in a statement. “His friends and family support him and wish him well on his journey to recovery.”

Shankman was seen just last night at the Trevor Live event in Hollywood and no one suspected that anything was going on with him as he seemed to be in good spirits.

The fact that good friend Zac Efron entered and completed treament earlier this year compounded with the tragic death of Glee star Cory Monteith from drug toxicity may have impacted his decision.

It’s not reported why he’s in rehab.

No matter why he is in treatment, we here as Popwrapped give him nothing but love and support in his journey to recovery.
