The Mindy Project has added a new cast member to their group by casting Max Minghella in a guest role. Mindy Kaling was the first person to break the news of The Mindy Project’s newest addition by posting a picture of herself, Minghella, and her co-star, Chris Messina.
Minghella is lined up to play Richie Castellano, the brother of Dr. Danny Castellano (Chris Messina.) Most people will recognize Minghella from his role in The Social Network playing Divya Narendra. His latest work was in The Internship, a film starting Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, when it hit the big screen this summer. The Mindy Project, created by Mindy Kaling, the series’ star, follows Mindy Lahiri through her everyday endeavors as an OB/GYN.
The Mindy Project is also going to host James Franco, Adam Pally, and Larenz Tate in the shows second season. The hit comedy airs on Fox November 5th at 9:30pm ET. Make sure to tune in to see what Mindy is up to next!
