ABC’s Killer Women is getting a killer cutback on its first season.
The limited series, by executive producer Sofia Vergara, had been scheduled for eight full episodes but is now reduced to six due to low ratings.
The show follows Texas Ranger Molly Parker (Tricia Helfer) who dominates in her field as one of the few female rangers in her agency.
Unfortunately for the show, the ratings did not dominate as well as baddie ranger Molly Parker. Sources from The Wrap say that the drama received a viewer rating of 0.9 out of 10 in its 18-49 demographic during the premiere showing. The following episode sank to 0.7, leading ABC to make the executive decision to reduce the length of the series.
In placement of what would have been the remaining episodes, ABC announced during their Television Critics Association press tour that Mind Games, a new drama, will air starting Tuesday February 25.
Killer Women will continue their season through February 25 on Tuesdays at 10/9c on ABC. Alongside her production of Killer Woman, Sofia Vergara still appears on the ABC hit comedy Modern Family Wednesdays at 9/8c.
