Sony made available a limited edition of the Playstation 4, especially designed for the 20th anniversary of the original console. As it managed to get out of stock in minutes, the special version is now worth a real fortune on eBay.
The 20th anniversary edition of PS4 debuted on December 3, on the debut date of the first ever Playstation console. The 12,300 consoles that were put to market were similar to the first one, in terms of colors and design. Originally sold for $499, were only available for purchase for minutes and sold out shortly after. From that point and on, users were able to get them on eBay for prices around $10,000 that even go up to $20,000.
As with all things online, the craziest of things can take place though. As it seems, someone accidentally sold the limited edition PS4 for just $1! As he got putting the console up for auction all wrong, he only received a single, one-dollar bid before cancelling the aurction. On eBay’s terms, the console has now been sold to the bidder, but it’s up to the seller to send it to him.
