Stacey Jackson Presents New Single “Flipside”

“…it’s all about taking risks to become a better ‘you’, even when you have so many commitments in life…”

Singer-songwriter, TV presenter, entrepreneur, mum of 4. Stacey Jackson knows what it means to be busy and passionate in all aspects of her life, and that passion certainly comes through in her music. To date, she’s released four albums and over a dozen singles and toured the world, winning over fans both old and new with her talent and charm. Her new single “Flipside”, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere, is an empowering anthem, reminding both herself and all the ladies who hear it that they ARE good enough, that they can achieve their dreams and that they are women to be reckoned with.

“Flipside” also has a rather interesting story behind it, as Stacey shares: “When the producer of my TV show asked to use an ‘already written stock pop track’ for the theme song of the show, I had literally finished writing the song – right before I even landed the TV series – Stacey Jackson In The 80s. So when the producer of the show asked me if I could suggest a pop track we could use for the theme song, I said: “I might actually have something that could work!” – it was almost spiritual! Such a crazy coincidence!”

Asked about how the song came together and why she thinks it works as a single, she adds: “The lyrics came to me quite quickly because it’s all about taking risks to become a better ‘you’, even when you have so many commitments in life and are being pulled in so many different directions. But you have to tear away from it all sometimes, to focus on your own life. I sent the song through and they said: “Oh my god this is so perfect!” And of course, with the melody – the vibe was easy for me to be influenced by that 80s sound, having grown up in that era. It’s also super relevant to 2021 with current artists like Dua Lipa and The Weeknd referencing that 80s feel.”
