Earlier this week there was felt a great disturbance in the force. Though it was almost on the same level as the one felt by Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: A New Hope, luckily for us it wasn’t as tragic as the destruction of Alderaan. Instead the sound of “millions of voices suddenly [crying] out” was in jubilation as Star Wars joined Instagram.
That’s right, we can now catch glimpses of life in a galaxy far, far away. And what was the all important first post? Nothing less than the ubiquitous selfie courtesy of the Dark Lord himself, Darth Vader, with the caption: “Another day at the office. #StarWars #DarthVader #selfies #gpom.”
Four other photos have since been uploaded with a still and behind-the-scenes pictures from the original trilogy.
With filming due to start early next year on the seventh film in the sci-fi franchise, expect to see more behind-the-scenes pics from the set and stills from the film in the lead up to its December 18, 2015 release.
