Parody Video Explains Why Starbucks Baristas Always Spell Your Name Wrong

We’ve all had this experience at Starbucks, so the Paul Gale Comedy group decided that it would be a great idea for a parody video–and they were right.

If you are a regular visitor at Starbucks, you know it’s a common thing for baristas to spell names wrong on the coffee cups. We all know there are moments they are in a hurry and don’t quite have the time to think about what they are actually writing and how they are spelling what they just heard, but that can’t always be the case.

There are times you find your name on the cup altered to death, spelled incredibly wrong and even having specific letters replaced by others or totally left out, with some brand-new added in the mix. John Purcell and the rest of the Paul Gale Comedy gang have put together a little video to explain the awkward situation and give an answer to the why that’s been bothering us–in a hilarious way.

The actual clip is a parody and not the real-life situation, but it perfectly states what has been in our minds: they are trolling us bad.

It suggests that spelling the name wrong on purpose, in order to bother the customer and laugh out a bit has happened by every barista from time to time, especially when the ones who order are ill-mannered. After all, it’s the best thing they can joke about when they are at work, so why not? Check out the video below.
