Many Colbert Report fans have been worried that Stephen Colbert’s move to a major network would dull his edge. Fear not, my friends, we are all in good hands. Remember, just two weeks ago Colbert released a video excoriating Donald Trump’s bid for the Republican presidential nomination, and this week, he has released a new video. This time, it is a video taking on dissenting opinions of the marriage equality case.
To the surprise of no one, Colbert spent a lot of time in the clip talking about Justice Antonin Scalia’s minority opinion, and the jokes are littered throughout. If these videos are any indication of things to come, things are going to be perfectly fine when The Late Show With Stephen Colbert premieres on September 8th. Watch the video, below:
We’ve got nothing to worry about where Colbert is concerned; his biting wit and spot-on delivery of current events have not changed one bit. In fact, I see him being even sharper. I don’t know about you, but I can hardly wait until September and by then, who knows what topics will be ripe for skewering!
