Lost Veterans Jack Bender and Brian K. Vaughan are at it again! The duo have breathed life into Under The Dome, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, premiers this June on CBS. The show focuses on a town that find themselves trapped under a dome.
The show stars Mike Vogel (Bates Motel, The Help), Rachelle Lefevre who is best known for her role as Victoria in Twilight (but was later replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard), and Colin Ford (Supernatural). Other cast includes Natalie Martinez, Dean Norris, Britt Roberston, Jolene Purdy, and Aisha Hinds.
Creative talks began back in 2009 and was set to premier on Showtime, but felt it was better suited for CBS. Once that decision was made filming officially began in February of this year. CBS first aired the teaser trailer during the Super Bowl. But the wait is almost over! June is right around the corner and with that we have an extended trailer!
Bender expressed his excitement for the show at this year’s WonderCon “When I read this script, I had the same reaction as when I saw the ‘Lost’ pilot … I really wanted to spend time with those characters in that world, and I felt that way about this show.” He went on to praise his creative partner Brian K. Vaughn and the captivating characters that he had crafted. The show is sure to be a summer hit!
Under The Dome premiers June 24th at 10 pm on CBS!
