Suits is adding another Macht to the cast. Stephen, father of Harvey Specter himself, Gabriel Macht, will be starring alongside his son in a forthcoming episode of the USA Network’s lawyer drama.
Appearing in episode 2 of season 3’s winter return, Stephen will guest star as Professor Gerard, a Harvard Law professor who is notorious for his high standards and rigid ways, reports TVLine.
“He plays an integral role in one of the through-line storylines in the back 6 [episodes],” executive producer Aaron Korsh told TVLine. “He does not have a positive history with Harvey Specter. They have a conflictual scene.”
The elder Macht is a veteran film and television star, having appeared in classic TV programs such as General Hospital, Cagney & Lacey, Knots Landing and Murder, She Wrote.
Suits is currently on summer hiatus and will return to the USA Network later in the year.
