With production for CBS’ upcoming superhero series, Supergirl, kicking off pretty soon, more and more casting news arrive on a daily basis. The latest details are particularly interesting for the show’s plot, as it seems Superman will actually be a part of it, as revealed by a casting call.
Even though no one really saw it coming, it turns out that there will be a cameo from Man Of Steel himself in Supergirl. The show is currently looking for Kara’s cousin and even though they haven’t officially announced it yet, the call pretty much gets the job done. Read it for yourself:
We are looking for BODY DOUBLE for a DC Comic Superhero – You must be available for an interview this Thursday and if selected will work several day during March. This is for a CBS pilot. You can be SAG or Non-Union. You should be 5’11 or taller and be Square Jawed and have a ripped physique. You must send a bodyshot, shirtless, sizes, current contact info and your first five to [email deleted] – in the subject line write SUPERMAN
The casting news not only make public Superman’s involvement in the CBS pilot, but there’s more to it. Since the series can’t possibly get Henry Cavill to guest star in it, Supergirl will be placed out of DC’s Cinematic Universe. The show is expected to start filming as soon as next month in Los Angeles.
