Supernatural Alum Books ‘Arrow’ Gig as Lovestruck Cupid

Supernatural Alum Amy Gumenick is set to play Carrie Cutter AKA Lovestruck Cupid in the third Season the hit CW show Arrow.

In The Beginning

Oliver Queen better watch his back, because another arrow is coming into town and it  just might shoot him straight through the heart — Fatal Attraction style.

CW’s hit series Arrow is welcoming Supernatural alum Amy Gumenick as a No. 1 fan who is lovestruck with Ollie. She isn’t just your normal pining groupie — she’s Cupid.

As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, Gumenick is taking on the role of the famous angel aka Carrie Cutter, who is said to be “a lethal villainess with a dangerously obsessive crush on The Arrow.” (Who doesn’t have a crush on Oliver Queen? Have you see his abs while doing the salmon ladder?)

Carrie Cutter comes straight from Arrow exec-producer Andrew Kreisberg, who developed the character during his time on the Green Arrow/Black Canary comic book series. As he told EW, “I always loved the idea of Green Arrow having a crazed fan. When I was writing the comic book, my big goal was to create a villain who would last. Cupid has since appeared in the DC Nation shorts on Cartoon Network, and to have her fight our TV Arrow is so much more than I ever could have hoped for the character.”

Supernatural fans will recognize Gumenick for portraying young Mary Winchester and mom to beloved hunters Sam and Dean. Most recently, Gumenick popped up on AMC’s Turn. She’s set to make her first appearance in Episodes 6 and 7.

Arrow returns for its third season on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
