Sylvester Stallone is set to return (again) to play his most iconic character, Rocky Balboa, in Creed, a Rocky spinoff.
This time, though, Stallone will not be entering the ring. Instead, according to Deadline, Michael B Jordan is to take up the star role as the grandson of Rocky’s first rival, Creed. The story follows a young man who realises he possesses his grandfathers boxing talent and goes to a retired Rocky for mentorship.
The movie will be written and directed by Ryan Coogler, who previously directed Fruitvale Station in which Jordan also appeared. We will report any further developments as we get them.
