Taylor Swift Drops New ‘1989’ Track, “Welcome To New York” And Shares Snippet Of Upcoming “Style”

Taylor Swift just dropped her new countdown single, “Welcome To New York” and teased an album track, “Never Go Out Of Style”, from her upcoming album 1989.

Taylor Swift has already kicked off her 1989 era with “Shake It Off” and is currently sharing the countdown singles until the album arrives. After delivering the astonishing “Out Of The Woods”, the songstress has now gone and shared another one, titled “Welcome To New York”.

The NYC anthem serves as the opening track of Taylor Swift’s forthcoming record, 1989. The production, courtesy of One Republic’s well-known hitmaker Ryan Tedder, is driven by a main drum beat. The cheerful sound of the track goes as far as to make it seem like she’s singing on top hand claps. There are electronic elements in there of course, with synths and everything right in place, making for a great, anthemic tune. Preview the song below and go buy it on iTunes:

Now things are not stopping there, as there’s a snippet of another new song currently online. Reportedly, Taylor Swift recorded “Never Go Out Of Style” (or just “Style”) for One Direction’s well-known Harry Styles, but who really knows in the end? No matter the case, it sounds like a great pop song and definitely one that you want to hear in full. Give that one a listen as well:
