Friendship is a precious thing, especially when one of you turns 21.
Former Disney star Selena Gomez did just that this past Monday, where more than just the outrageous party video featuring her new song titled, you guessed it, “Birthday” went viral.
“I Knew You Were Trouble” singer, Taylor Swift posted a picture of the two posing next to a mermaid statue via Twitter. She went on to wish her “sister” a happy 21.
“Happy 21st birthday to my friend, and the closest thing I’ve ever had to a sister, @selenagomez!!”
Gomez, the star of this years racy Spring Breakers, has previously described Swift as, “one of the most inspirational, positive, good-hearted people” she has ever met.
Earlier this week, Gomez made an appearance on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno, where she told the host that her first legal drink had been “a shot of jack”. She went on to say that she was still “a little bit” hungover.
Don’t worry Selena, we’ve all been there before.
