TeawhYB Returns With Addicting New Track, “Supernova”

Wisconsin based emerging artist, TeawhYB returns with a new track, “Supernova”. After putting out a collection of music already, he started seeing success with covers on TikTok – initially where we first discovered him. TeawhYB (Tyler), has a lot of great tracks, but “Supernova” really stands out amongst his discography.

“Supernova” marks the second release from collaborators Jack Greenwood (Austin, TX) and TeawhYB (Green Bay, WI) as they tease their upcoming, yet still untitled album. Their first single, “Backyard Basketball” was used in a Capital One ad during the NCAA March Madness tournament that featured NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley. TeawhYB will be debuting “Supernova” with a live performance the day of the release as the headliner for Star City Pride.

A Brokeback Mountain type of love, riding lust by horseback into the sunset; by morning it’s gone before the coffee’s made. We’re too scared to admit it. Drunken nights rekindle a temporary flame, the stars collide, and I confess; you’re my Supernova. Queer emotions clash with masculinity in this cowboy-themed, indie pop jam is out now on all platforms.

“After SXSW and my University tour was cancelled I just focused on creating. Really just networking, collaborating, and building up my catalog. In hindsight, the pancetta allowed me to GROW as an artist…I had more time to work on my singing, video editing. I’m really not the type to dwell on misfortunes, just gotta make it work however you can, plain and simple.” Tyler told PopWrapped.

Supernova means EVERYTHING to me to be honest. My homie Jack Greenwood who produced the beat and created the hook trusted me to add my flavor and now we’re making an album together. But when I heard the guitar melody it brought me back to the first time I saw “Brokeback Mountain” and the emotions many of us queer folx had while actualizing our identities kind of flooded through me. Topping is my preference (wink) but I’m just zoned in on making great music and letting the listeners decide what takes the cake.

“Supernova” is kinda my follow-up to “Cabin” which is my most popular track; guitar-driven, country themes, with my own sauce so I’ve been eager to get it out. The songs you talkin’ bout all vary in sound (Hip-Hop, Pop, Alt, Glitch, Indie) so I’d say all of my releases are a surprise, you never know what you might get. I don’t care about labels or genres, I just make music. We knew Supernova had the vibe perfect for summer and personally I wanted to release it during Pride Month because of the inspiration behind it. Sad cowboy but good vibes…”

“All Gas No Brakes is the first song I released this year but it’s the motto, really. Two collab albums on the way and a solo project, the best is yet to come. Excited to get back out in the world and show people a good time, that’s what I’m about. Continuing to uplift my community and inspire people to follow their dreams. I have a few dream collabs, Frank Ocean and Justin Bieber. For now, just looking to earn respect.”

“Supernova” is available on all streaming platforms, now. If you want to follow TeawhYB’s journey, be sure to follow him on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
