Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has turned out to be a commercial success in The United States, despite negative reviews from critics. The film has now opened in The United Kingdom as well and it opened with impressive numbers.
It seems the Megan Fox-starring adaptation of the story will be a commercial success all over the world. The Michael Bay-helmed film opened on top of the British box office by grossing a grande £4.78 million. Even though rival films, Gone Girl and Annabelle, have performed pretty well, they were not really competition for Nickelodeon and Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Gone Girl spends its third week at the second place with £2.36m and Annabelle lands third with £1.46m. The Maze Runner drops to the fourth place with £1.45m, while The Best Of Me follows with £636,000. The Judge, starring Robert Downey Jr. lands out of the top 5, in the ninth position.
