Terry Crews Wants To Be The Thing

NULL

Caitlin Swift

Staff Writer

Former NFL player turned actor Terry Crews has a dream role: The Thing. Crews, who starred in the Expendables and most recently voiced Blade in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, wasted no time in letting the world know he wants in on the Fantastic Four action.

The actor reveled his dream to Newsarama earlier this week. He also expressed interest in playing Colossus of X-Men fame. It seems that Crew’s dreams were almost a reality as he has been linked to the role of Luke Cage previously.

Unfortunately he and Marvel never saw eye to eye “Some people bring up Luke Cage, but honestly I have to step out of that because Marvel’s never really expressed an interest in making it. If Marvel hasn’t expressed interest in it, why should I? I’m interested in actually doing a character that’ll see the light of day; that’s one of the reasons I chose to do Blade here. I don’t want to be a part of something that’s going to sit on the shelf and never get made.”

Luke Cage or no Luke Cage, Crews has been keeping busy. Currently he is filming The Expendables 3, Single Moms Club, Aztec Warrior, Draft Day, Reach Me, and The Familymoon. You will be able to hear Terry as Earl Devereaux in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 due out October 25 or check your local listings for The Ultimate Spider-Man Halloween Special out now!
