Things are busy on The Inbetweeners Movie 2 set. And here are images to prove it! Are you excited?
The sequel was written and directed by Ian Morris and Damon Beesley, both of whom created the series. Before they began shooting the film, the creators gave hints to filming location, “We can’t say too much as we don’t want to spoil the jokes for you, but what we can exclusively reveal is there will be kangaroos. And Australians. And possibly koalas.”
Indeed, the movie takes place in Australia, where they have filmed since December 7th. However, they have since wrapped up the shoot and are headed back to the UK to finish everything. Their message to the country,”G’bye Australia, you’ve been great to us. It’s fair to say you’re genuinely a credit to our much maligned convict relocation policy!”
The original foursome, Simon Bird, James Buckley, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison, all return to the follow-up film as well as Harry Potter star Freddie Stroma joining the cast. It’s good to mix new faces with a recurring cast. It keeps things fresh.
In August, The Inbetweeners Movie 2 will be released in the UK and Ireland.
