CW’s President Mark Pedowitz officially announced the name of the highly anticipated Veronica Mars spinoff during the network’s upfront presentation on Thursday (May 15).
Starring Ryan Hansen, it will be titled Play It Again, Dick, and is set to consist of 10-minute episodes, which will air on CW Seed, the network’s digital platform.
Thomas had previously shared that the digital series would be “a comedy featuring Ryan Hansen.”
Pedowitz announced that the CW would be going back into business with its former cult series earlier this year.
Plans to produce the Dick Casablancas digital spinoff came after series creator Rob Thomas’ success with funding the long-talked-about Mars movie through Kickstarter.
