19 days and counting, and the BBC have finally released the official synopsis for “The Day Of The Doctor“. If you don’t want any spoilers look away now.
The 75 minute special which will air worldwide on November 23 which will star David Tennant, Matt Smith appears to have a couple of story arcs, one in 1563 which will probably be when Tennant’s Tenth Doctor is seen with Joanna Page’s Queen Elizabeth I, and one in 2013.
The full synopsis according to the show’s Facebook page reads:
The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th Anniversary Special: in 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.
We have already seen pictures of Matt Smith hanging over Trafalgar Square (the location of the National Portrait Gallery), so I wonder whether good old Queen Bess could be a key player in uniting both Doctors.
No matter what, it is going to be a cracking episode and I for one am counting down the days.
