This week FOX made final decisions regarding the future of their remaining shows that hadn’t been confirmed for the fall 2014/2015 schedule.
Freshman series Rake, and all new comedy series Enlisted, Dads, and Surviving Jack have been officially cancelled. Earlier this year, the network gave a mass pick-up to a majority of their series, and just two cancellations (Raising Hope, Almost Human) leaving only a handful with uncertainty until today. The only remaining show that has yet to be announced is Family Guy, which has proven to have a committed fan base along with higher than average ratings, and is almost a guaranteed renewal.
In Addition, Fox renewed American Idol for a 14th season. The long running singing competition will start auditions as soon as June starting in Minneapolis, along with four other planned open auditions so far.
With network upfronts approaching next week, we will soon know the fates of the remaining series orders for CBS, NBC, CW, and ABC.
