Hot on the heels of receiving a top-notch recommendation by we here at PopWrapped, The Fault in Our Stars had something all-new to celebrate as its pre-sales numbers came in.
As it turns out, the film has now become the biggest pre-selling romantic drama of all time! Its full debut numbers are yet to be announced, but given its pre-sales are already outpacing titles such as The Vow and Dear John, it’s safe to say that they’ll be pretty darn high.
The Fault in Our Stars is a romantic drama centered upon the lives of teen cancer patients Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters as they fall in love. It’s based off of the best-selling John Green novel of the same age, which first made a splash on the pop culture scene back in 2012.
Currently, the movie is projected to make over $30 million just over the weekend, which would place it in the Top 30 top-grossing films of 2014. Who wants to bet it’ll do even better?
