For those who have been anticipating Kite – the adaptation of the classic anime starring Samuel L. Jackson, you are in luck! 9 minutes of footage has been released via Bloody Disgusting; the footage contains both a trailer and an extended clip from the film. Samuel L. Jackson opens to footage, telling how much he loves the source material and how much effort has gone into this adaptation. Exciting! Plus, it looks REALLY good.
For those unaware with the source material, the Ralph Ziman directed film revolves around a young girl (India Eisley) who becomes a deadly assassin following the murder of her mother and father. Jackson plays a cop who worked with her father & decides to aid her mission against the corrupt state they live in.
Kite arrives in theatres later this year.
