Lionsgate has announced that Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will be released in all formats for a true ‘blockbuster finale’ to the movie franchise.

Prepare to see Katniss Everdeen shoot arrows on extremely large 3D screens , since Lionsgate has confirmed that The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part-2 will be released in IMAX.

“Fans will now have the chance to see the film in any format they want, which is exciting. We recently saw the 3D version of Mockingjay – Part 1 before its release in China, and the new level of immersion was really fantastic.” Director Francis Lawrence said.

Mockingjay-Part 2, is the last movie in the highly successful Hunger Games franchise, which catapulted its young lead, Jennifer Lawrence, into superstardom. It will delve into the conclusion of the rebellion that Katniss Everdeen ignited through the course of the movies.

Which is why Jon Feltheimer, CEO of Lionsgate films, has assured fans the film has been remastered for all formats to ensure a ‘blockbuster finale’.

It’s young star is sad the franchise is ending though: “I’m not happy about it at all. I would totally do (more movies). And now Liam’s (Hemsworth) doing a movie in Australia for two months. It’s the longest that the three of us have ever spent apart.” Jennifer Lawrence said.

The Hunger Games Mockingjay-Part 2, will have its worldwide release on November 20.
