Star Wars fans rejoice, it looks like Star Wars: Episode VII will mean the return of an iconic spaceship.

According to Digital Spy, the Millennium Falcon is ready and waiting for take-off at Pinewood Studios.  We still don’t know whether the space freighter has retained its pilot or if Han has sold it on.  The report also says that the iconic vessel will make a “big appearance” in the movie which is due to start production in early 2014.

The article also says that we will be returning to another iconic location from the original trilogy in the shape of the Mos Eisley Cantina.  I for one hope the band haven’t hit the big time and are still playing to the assembled crowd.

We keep being told that we can expect to see the return of original cast members Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, although no solid casting announcements have been made.

Star Wars: Episode VII is due to be released in 2015.
