The curtains are about to fall for The Hunger Games film series, as the second part of Mockingjay is on the way. With the film expected to arrive in theaters this coming fall, the promotion for it has just begun with the official poster and an accompanying teaser trailer.
“The Fire Will Burn Forever” reads the poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, seen above, instantly bringing the fierce Katniss Everdeen to mind. It’s true that Jennifer Lawrence’s heroine has come a really long way from the day she was first introduced to us, and the new teaser trailer makes sure to remind us of the process. Even though the visuals of the actual mockingjay forming the symbol of each film, before eventually breaking free of its shackles, have been seen before, the audio on top is a new thing. More specifically, we get through Katniss’ evolution to the leader she is today by hearing her own words over the years, and it all concludes perfectly with her war signal from the upcoming film: “Tonight turn your weapons to the Capitol”.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 will serve as the fourth installment in the Hunger Games film series and will bring to life the second half of the trilogy’s last book. Since everyone felt that the first part was only half a film, things should get real now that the action truly begins. Check out the teaser trailer below.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 is scheduled to open in theaters on November 20, 2015.
