Just eight months ago, 91,585 people pledged their hard earned money to make the Veronica Mars movie a reality. That reality will now be seen in living color on March 14, 2014 when the Veronica Mars movie hits cinemas; one year and one day after the project was successfully funded via Kickstarter.

Creator Rob Thomas told Entertainment Weekly, “Warner Bros. had this date circled for quite some time and hoped it would stay open. Luckily, no other teen detective movie decided to open in the middle of March.”

He then tweeted several “Fun Facts” to get fans and supporters in the mood.

While the theatrical reach is still uncertain, Thomas confirmed that, although the original plan was to give the film a limited run in a few selected theaters and cities, Warner Bros. has now decided to give it a larger, more nationwide release, and let the marketplace decide how long it will stay in the cinemas.

Set ten years after the season three finale, Veronica returns to her hometown of Neptune, California to assist her former love Logan, who has been accused of killing his pop-star girlfriend.

Kristen Bell is reprising her role as the titular Veronica Mars, and will star alongside fellow returning cast members Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs, Tina Majorino, Francis Capra, Ryan Hansen, Max Greenfield, Enrico Colantoni and Krysten Ritter.

If you were one of the over 90 thousand backers, or are just really excited about the upcoming Veronica Mars movie, check out the sneak peek below.
