Fans of the original comic book version of The Walking Dead will no doubt be happy, and less surprised than others, to see Abraham Ford, Rosita and Dr. Eugene Porter making their debuts in AMC’s TV version. The three characters, who featured in the original comic books, look like they could be set to answer some serious questions.

Introducing the others to Glenn, Abraham Ford wasted no time in telling Glenn about their very important mission, stating that, “We’re on a mission to get Eugene to Washington, D.C. Eugene’s a scientist, and he knows exactly what caused this mess.”

That sounds promising, right?

Megan Cole of Buddy T.V doesn’t think so, saying, “When Glenn asks what caused the apocalypse, Eugene says it’s ‘classified,’ and for some reason, no one thinks they need more information.”

Cole isn’t the only one skeptical about the latest additions to the show, with Jessica Rae of Small Screen Scoop saying, “As the camera zooms in on him, I wonder what kind of cult leader type is he that made some other people think he knows what happened to cause zombies!? He certainly looks self-satisfied, though. Evil? Possibly.”

Anyone who is a fan of the comic series may be under the impression that they have a pretty good idea as to where all of this is going. However, Robert Kirkman and his crew have not been afraid to move away from the original comic books in the past, so really, who knows?

Still, it’s always good to see the introduction of new characters in a series. I just hope it works out for these three.
