The British boy band The Wanted is temporarily losing a member.
Nathan Sykes is celebrating his 20th birthday by having surgery on a nodule in his vocal chords that has been bothering him for a while.
He flew from the Bahamas back to Los Angeles for the surgery which will take him out of the band for at least a month while his throat heals.
This is bad timing for everybody. The Wanted is currently working on producing an album and planning a world tour for the end of the year. The fact that he can’t talk for at least a month means that all the vocals may have to be altered and plans for a word tour will have to be put on hold until he recovers.
