It’s only a few more days until the “backdoor pilot” of a possible Supernatural spin-off will be aired, but while we wait, The CW released a very exciting trailer!

The trailer of the series entitled Supernatural: Bloodlines sees Sam and Dean taking a break from their usual troubles by travelling to Chicago, a city controlled by several rival clans of monsters. The Winchester brothers will be helped by a rookie cop named Ennis Roth, who turned into a hunter after his fiancée was killed in the crossfire of the ongoing war between the different clans.

Roth will be played by English actor Lucien Laviscount, best known for his role as Jonah Kirby on the BBC One drama Waterloo Road, and he will be joined by The Vampire Diaries actor Nathaniel Buzolic (Kol Mikaelson), who will play the role of David Lassiter.

Other actors appearing in the pilot are Melissa Roxburgh (Arrow), Danielle Savre (Heroes), Sean Faris (Pretty Little Liars) and Stephen Martines (The Vampire Diaries).

The so-called “backdoor pilot”, meaning that it can function as a standalone movie if not picked up, will air on The CW on Tuesday the 29th of April at 9/8c, after which the network will make an official decision on whether or not Bloodlines will continue as a series.

Have a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think! Will you be tuning in?
