There’s Only Two Days Left To Help The Solid Suns Crowdfund Their Third Album

Make another Indiegogo crowdfunding story come true: the Las Vegas-based band The Solid Suns has launched a campaign to raise funds for the 3rd album.

The Las Vegas-based alt-rock blues trio, The Solid Suns, is poised to record their third album, Ungodly Hour, and they need your help to do it! The band has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise money for studio time, a new logo and merchandise for the fans. The Solid Suns came together in early 2011 with an eclectic ménage of influences ranging from Soul and R&B to alternative and classic rock; their unique sound emerged as a stripped-down, rocking cacophony of heavy guitar, smooth vocals, bass and drums.

The band’s latest video for the single, “Flesh and Bone”, caused a bit of a stir when it debuted online due to some of the rather controversial imagery. I had the chance to chat with songwriter and front man Jon Gamboa recently and he said, “The song wasn’t originally written with any politics or message in mind. When it came time to create a music video, I saw an opportunity. My goal was to paint a picture of America over the last 60 years. I wanted it to spark thoughts and conversations. Fortunately, it has done just that. There is something in this video that will make everyone uncomfortable, but it’s different for each person. The video is like a mirror. All I want to do is show America itself.”

The Solid Suns have just over two days remaining on their Indiegogo campaign and a donation of just $5 will earn you a digital download of their first two albums, Bobby Pins and Needles [2012] and Lacunas [2013]. Check out their campaign page to see the other perks and support new music!
