The fun never ends when there are typos (be they verbal or written). They are funny, silly, and sometimes confusing. It’s even better when a celebrity makes a blunder. Musicians, actors, reporters, and the like are often depicted as inhumanly flawless thanks to editing and Photoshop. Thus, the celebrities are more relatable due to these flubs.
Most recently, John Travolta made a major blunder. During the telecast of the Oscars he called Idina Menzel, ‘Adele Dazeem’. This quickly spawned gifs, along with apps where you can Travoltify your name. Mine is Kian Znyder if anyone was interested. What’s yours?
Now, there is a song parody about Miss Adele Dazeem. The wickedly funny, devilishly hilarious Randy Rainbow is behind this production. He wrote and performed this piece, by the way. Not only does Rainbow “gather here upon your behalf,” thus paying homage to the verbal slip, he also pays tributes to RENT (Idina Menzel starred in both the Broadway musical and the movie adaption).
To the tune of La Vie Boheme, the musician mocks Travolta’s gaff. Rainbow gives a pseudo history of Adele Dazeem by deliberately flubbing the names of uber important moments in Idina Menzel’s life (from being in RENT, where she met her estranged husband, to starring in Wicked, and voicing Frozen). It’s hilarious.
Take a listen. Enjoy. Share what you think!
