There are many musicians in the industry who take on stage names, but not too many that constantly change it up (unless you’re Prince).
Sean Combs has always been one to surprise us, and when he debuted back in the 90’s as Puff Daddy, he had the rap world seemingly under his thumb. Following that moniker, he switched it up to P. Diddy roughly 13 years ago.
It’s time to switch things up again (although not in his eyes).
For his upcoming new album, “MMM”, he’s once again returning to his original name Puff Daddy. He took to Twitter however, to remind his fans: “For the record, I did not change my name. I always have been and always will be PUFF DADDY! 🙂 Be cool Man lol #MMM #BigHomie RT!!!!”
His first single “Big Homie” is scheduled to drop in full next week. It will feature rappers French Montana and Rick Ross.
Will he see the success that his 1997 album No Way Out had? Time will tell!
