Fans of Farscape worry no more, a movie is officially in the works.

Rockne O’Bannon, creator and showrunner of the sci-fi T.V. series, confirmed the news at WonderCon 2014, Nerdacy reports.

“(laughs) Yeah, yeah it’s the worst kept secret…We’re far from production, but yeah, the first step is Justin [Monjo] working on a script for us. We’ll keep our fingers crossed,” said Bannon.

Brian Henson gave the short-lived T.V. series a proper ending in the mini-series Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars in 2007. Since then, fans have subsided on comics and the promise of a film.

Tor.com reported the synopsis of the new film:

“Set to follow the awesome comics written by our Keith R.A. DeCandido, the film would follow John and Aeryn’s son, D’Argo (or Little D, as we will always refer to him). Because their baby was exhibiting a set of interesting powers that made him a magnet for galactic villains, we find that John and Aeryn hide their son on Earth to grow up. Now the kid is 19 and ready to go into space with his parents.”

For those interested in catching up on Farscape before the big film release –all 88 episodes are available on Netflix.
