Tom Cruise will begin filming a sequel to 2012’s Jack Reacher, and it looks like he may already have a female lead.

Reports claim that Cobie Smulders of Avengers and Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. has joined the team as the lead actress. Filming is set to begin this November.

The first film, which shares directors with the latest Mission Impossible film, was not the success it was expected to be. Only the foreign box office saved it.

Cruise

will be back again as an action hero in this series, based on books written by Lee Childs.
