Tom Hiddleston finally gives us something about his upcoming elusive vampire film Only Lovers Left Alive.
In an interview with Telegraph he discusses his thoughts on immortality and what it means in the context of the film (also starring Tilda Swinton as his vampire lover).
“The vampire thing is really a way of exploring immortality. And the question is, if you were immortal, how might that change your commitment to each other, between two people? So really the film is about love in the end, and time and our creative power.”
Hiddleston told the interviewer that being on the set of the film had him pondering what it would be like to not have “a limited time on this planet” and what we would do. He said that he “found it a really interesting exploration.”
The film has not yet been given a release date, but is expected sometime within the year.
