The upcoming mini-series The Night Manager boasts some massive talent with its two leads, Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie. During a recent shoot in Switzerland, however, both actors couldn’t help but take a back seat to a much bigger star, the legendary Matterhorn!
Hiddleston and Laurie both tweeted shots of the majestic Alpine mountain while on set in Zermatt.

Producer Rob Bullock also tweeted a photo of Hiddleston shooting a scene with even more of the gorgeous snow-covered landscape in view.

The Night Manager is based on the John le Carré novel of the same name. Parts of the book also take place in the Bahamas, so maybe Hiddleston and Laurie may get to enjoy some sun and sand as well as ice and snow in future scenes.
Even if that’s not the case, I doubt they’ll mind. The cold weather may not be the most pleasant, but working against a backdrop like the Matterhorn must be creatively inspiring as well as visually stunning.
You’ll be able to see more of Hiddleston, Laurie, and all the action, drama, and sweeping scenery of The Night Manager when it airs on the BBC and AMC next year.
