Be still my beating Sherlockian heart! If rumors are true, Tom Hiddleston (Thor, Only Lovers Left Alive) could be joining the cast of Sherlock during series four as Sherlock’s older brother, Sherrinford Holmes. Benedict Cumberbatch recently hinted in an interview about series four, “You find out about Sherlock’s background. You find out that he comes from a truly stab family.”
Although executive producer, Mark Gatiss is keeping mum about the rumors, it doesn’t seem that far fetched as Hiddleston and Cumberbatch are, in fact, very close friends. “He’s one of my best friends, it’s as simple as that,” Hiddleston said of Cumberbatch in a recent interview. With his best buddy’s upcoming wedding, Hiddleston could be taking on another role as ‘best man.’
